The Balmoral Community College sports program provides students with the opportunity to participate in sporting situations on a competitive basis. A wide variety of sports are played with the intention of greater understanding and appreciation. At the school level, competition is organised on a house basis (between Glenelg, Henty and Mitchell Houses) in athletics, cross country running, swimming and a number of other sports.

The senior student affiliation with the Glenelg Secondary Schools' Sports Association provides an avenue for all students to participate in a higher standard of competition. Our GSSSA commitments include athletics, cross country running, golf, swimming, tennis, triathlon and winter lightning premierships. With our small numbers all students are encouraged to participate in inter-house and school teams.

The junior students (Grade P-6) affiliation with the Casterton and Districts School Sports Association promotes the development of healthy living and a healthy lifestyle through the provision of a well-organised competitive environment.  High standards of sporting achievements are attained through a wide range of sports at school, district, zone, region and national level.  Our commitments include Athletics, Swimming, Cross Country, Lightening Premierships (netball & football), Kangas 8’s, T-ball and Basketball.  There is also a bi-annual competition between Balmoral and Coleraine based on tabloid sports such as Lawn Bowls, Soccer, Volleyball and Badminton.
