Hot Scrumptious Lunch Day was held on Wednesday 13th May 2015. Students were able to purchase Pumpkin or Vegetable Soup and Frittata. The day was a great success and the students really enjoyed eating healthy hot food for lunch.

Here are some photos from the day.

2015 Indigenous Arts Performance

Posted by amason on May 11, 2015

On 28th April 2015, Balmoral Community College was very privileged to have a visit from Sean, who performs his Indigenous Australian Performance around Australia and across the world.

Below you can view a video that includes Nathan Milton doing the cassowary dance, plus the first ever telephone dance which represents the creation of the telephone, a dance representing people walking along the beach on the mangroves and getting bitten by mosquitos, and finally a Sean performing a song on the didgeridoo.

The photos are of Sean (the performer), and Daniel Grego and Teyah Evans making fire.

2015 Success at the Balmoral Show

SUCCESS AT THE BALMORAL SHOW

As part of the Year 9/10 Ag Elective, Jacob Duggan and Mr Lewis exhibited two White Suffolk ram lambs at the Balmoral Show. We gained a first in the Pairs and a third in the Sire’s Progeny group.  We also gained a fourth in the individual age group section. We are not getting too carried away, but it was encouraging to have first up success. Next we will try our luck at SheepVention!
